Boisterous Kansas Wedding | Drew + Molly

Where do I even begin with this one? For starters, I met Drew in a hot tub in the Swiss Alps back in 2015, which is pretty freaking cool. I was backpacking through Europe with my husband and Drew was with his buddy Brogan (one of his groomsmen). A couple of years ago, Drew messaged me and said that him and his then girlfriend Molly were interested in relocating to Seattle from Kansas. So we picked them up from the train station and had them over for pancakes on Thanksgiving morning lol. They fell in love (duh, Seattle is amazing) and moved here shortly after that visit.

Fast forward a few months, they got engaged - woo! And asked me to be their wedding photographer. I was tickled. They’re the best couple and I just knew they were going to throw the best party.

Then, Covid-19 hit. They originally planned their wedding at the Edgewater in Seattle, but because of all of the limitations on events and most of their attendees were from Kansas, they decided to take the party back home at Deer Ridge Estate and asked me if maaaaaybe I’d make the trip. Of course I would!

As suspected, they put together a beautiful wedding, only made even more impressive by the fact that they threw it together in like five weeks. It was hot. Like HOT HOT. 96 degrees with humidity that made it feel like 106. But regardless of the heat, pandemic and all of the obstacles in their way, Drew and Molly said “I Do” surrounded by their loved ones. And not a single case of Covid-19 was contracted! Boo yah! Here are some of my favorite moments from their wedding.
